Opting for a Kenya beach vacation doesn’t mean missing out on its wildlife wonders. Head out in search of lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and more in your own private Land Cruiser Jeep—with pop-up roof for easy viewing—on this 2-day adventure from Diani Beach. You’ll enjoy five separate game drives, one at dawn (the best hour for spotting wildlife), and stay at a lodge or tented camp, water and meals included.
Tsavo West eco-system has an interesting made of savannah with open grasslands, scrub and woodland. Huge parts of it form plateaus, explorable caves at Shetani and Chaimu Larva Flows. Animals include lion, elephant, cheetah, rhino, hippos, leopards, buffalos, zebra and various antelope species among others. For the bird lovers, it is fulfilling, especially around the Mzima Springs area, a natural underground water tank that provides fresh consumable water to the entire coastal region of Kenya. Here can one also view hippo and various fish types. This is one park that can be visited all year round.
Pick up from the hotel at around 5am or 6am, driving along Mombasa- Nairobi highway and a stopover for coffee. Drive through Bachuma Gate into Tsavo East National Park. We will begin our game drive upon entering the park, where you will have the opportunity to see many animals such as zebra, elephant, various species of antelope, lion, buffalo, leopard, giraffe, and a variety of bird species. After lunch, an exciting evening game drive from 4pm to 6pm awaits you. Then it's back to your hotel. All meals and accommodations at your choice of lodge or luxury camp.
Before breakfast, go on a morning game drive. After breakfast, check out. Then depart for the game drive until 11 a.m., followed by the drive back to Mombasa which marks the end of the safari.
